We have been going past this place for a while now; thinking it looked too rundown and too rough. BUT we stopped in here a couple of days ago and were quite pleased that it is family owned by a family that cares about their customers. We went back tonight and had dinner. I ordered a cosmo which was “okay “. (I can make a better cosmo but I have had worse. we ordered chicken parmigiana and my partner ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The portions were perfect; no leftovers and just enough to satisfy us. The bread served before the meal was great but the oil served with it was very disappointing. It literally had NO flavor. We started off with a delicious stuffed artichoke and outstanding baked clams; we ended up finishing the entire bread basket just to soak up the flavorful sauce! The chicken Parmesan was one of the best I've ever had—thin, crispy, and smothered in excellent gravy. And don’t get me started on their house salad dressing. It's so good I could drink it straight! Even at 9 AM as I write this, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! They have great martinis, a solid selection of wines, and to top it all off, a fantastic homemade tiramisu. The atmosphere might be a bit plain, but honestly, who cares? We're here for the food. La Rocca has become our weekly go-to spot, and we absolutely love it!...
This was our first visit, and it certainly won't be our last. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food is freshly prepared to order, tasting absolutely fantastic. We tried the Chicken Francese and the Veal Marsala, both of which were cooked to perfection. It's a wonderful restaurant—don't let the location mislead you. The owner is also the chef, and he takes great pride in his dishes. It's a fantastic family-run establishment, and it's definitely one of our new favorite spots. I can't believe it took us four years of living here to discover it!
Great food all made to order! Got take out, and drove it about 15 mins home. Still was Great quality and enjoyed it a lot. They packaged up the hot and cold separate which so many places don’t take the time to do. Spent a few minutes chatting with the family that runs it and they were very friendly. Definitely will go back and order from them again. The bread was terrific, Only small issue was we didn’t get the sauce that was supposed to come with it. Not a big deal just sounded exciting. This was my first visit to La Rocca, and I can’t recommend it enough! The food was absolutely fantastic. Our group of ten all enjoyed our meals. I tried the calamari salad, while my husband had the ahi tuna, and both dishes were delicious. It's clear that this is a family-run restaurant, as they truly have a passion for cooking. We were lucky enough to meet Chris, the chef, along with his wife Nicole and their son. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience!
I haven’t been able to eat Italian food in years because I am gluten free but they accommodated everything. Made it all very easy. I had the chicken piccata with GF pasta and everything was made to order. The salad was the freshest salad I’ve had in a long time. It really was so so good. We couldn’t stop raving. We really enjoyed our dinner and will be back. A hidden gem in North Port!
Date night was amazing, first time trying and it was worth it! The wine was refreshing and the calamari was delicious. I got the gluten free pasta and it was delectable my boyfriend liked his dish. Next time we’ll have to try dessert. We definitely recommend and will be going back!
enjoyed a fabulous pasta dish and a chicken dish. vegetables were delicious also. Nice to see freshly cooked food and it tasted much better than chain restaurant food. May cost more but it's worth it. I will certainly be going back again. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
My wife and I enjoy coming here. The food is outstanding cooked fresh and to order. They are very accommodating. We had a special occasion and had a group of 25 and it was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice night out.
