We were staying in a gite just down the road and ate at La Rose des Vents twice in our 2 week stay. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. The menu was totally different on the 2 occasions which is a sign that they are using seasonal produce. It's not a pretentious place, the service is efficient and friendly with good food (and wine) at a reasonable price. We were lucky to have such a place within walking distance, it's a gem.
This is a restaurant on the road to Uzes. It is not a pretentious place and the prices are reasonable. But, we visited on a rainy night in October and suffered from smoke inhalation. Some of the food is prepared on an open hearth, and a significant part of the wood smoke fills the restaurant. You will remember the experience. Give it a try. The food is basically ok.
Découverte de la Rose des Vents dans ce petit village du Gard. Nous avons passé un très agréable moment sur une jolie terrasse ombragée donnant sur les vignes et nous nous sommes régalés de magret de canard cuit au feu de bois et d’encornets à la plancha. Un service très sympa. Une très bonne soirée
Probably just bad luck the food tasted great and staff was friendly and prices were decent. But I had the tartare de boeuf and had a bout of stomach flu afterwards... My partner had the magret de canard which was absolutely delicious and grilled to perfection. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We loved it here.. We walked from our hotel and were greeted as if family.... the service was outstanding and the setting beautiful. We ate at the back overlooking the vineyards... We love our evening here... and the food was delicious...
Visited restaurant as part of cycling route and the food and service did not disappoint. Lovely people, food was very fresh, and excellent value for money. Salads, burgers, and squid were all to die for. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic experience, lovely venue outside under the trees, very friendly owners and superb french traditional cooking. Don’t believe the negative comments, they are absolutely not true!
