La Sartaïa - Tisch resevieren

We were taken by La Sartaia by a friends who live 10 minutes from the restaurant, for an evening meal. The restaurant is operated by a husband and wife team, the chef, the husband, is excellent and his wife provided excellent service and has a bubbly personality. The preparation was very good. The selection for the evening included a variety of main courses and there were 4-5 different desert selections. On a Friday evening the restaurant was not crowded and it was easy for us to have a conversation. The location is close to and within walking distance of the Gare de Saint L'aurent-du-var. This is where the locals go for a good meal that does not break the bank! The chef has recently achieved his "maitre restaurateur" status and they offer wonderful specialties of the house. They are not open every night for dinner. They are open Tuesday--Sunday for lunch; and Thursdays--Saturday for dinner. The ambience is not high-end and neither are the prices! But it is a "tres sympa" atmosphere and you will not be disappointed by the meals or the service. Laurence is so nice and happy with the sweetest laugh. She will make you feel welcome and ensure an enjoyable evening in every way possible.
