We love La Sorella! My wife and I recently dined here for her birthday. I called earlier in the day to see about a surprise birthday dessert—my wife has a gluten allergy, and so we need to be strict about what we eat and where. The manager was immediately accommodating. She also reminded me that they also have a full gluten free menu, a rarity especially for Italian restaurants. This is our go to place. For past 3 visit our experience is worse than the other. We are served in a hurry. It's like churning people out. We are given hardly any choice of Vegetarian food. We are asked to hold back meat/fish/ chicken for the dish on the menu but we are charged the same! They have discontinued serving Flatbread so we are told) now it is just one dish left. Their potatoes are fried in the fryer with other animal Meats. Even other dishes have chicken broth ! It's frustrating to explain 30 things to avoid just to get a decent pasta dish. Enjoyed a lovely dinner with my wife to celebrate a late mother's day dinner. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service. We sat on the patio and our server was very charming and attentive. He was a gentleman in his later 40s maybe or 50s. We shared the calamari which was delicious. My wife ordered the risotto which was delicious and I ordered the steak special. The dirty martinis were delicious as was the old fashioned. Dessert was delicious. We ordered the chocolate torte cake and profiteroles. The double espresso was the perfect touch to the end of a nice meal. We will be back and thank you!
We came here for a birthday dinner. Made a reservation prior and were seated as soon as we walked in. Drinks were great, special shout-out to Lemon Blossom. I got the burrata with roasted brussel sprouts and thought the brussel sprouts needed more flavor. It tasted a bit bland. The veg rigatoni pasta was delicious! Worth coming back for it again. Our family decided to skip the stress of cooking and cleaning this Easter and decided to have dinner out, and we are happy we did! Our experience was fantastic, from the delicious apps to the excellent food and drinks, but most of all the service!!! Everyone from the hostesses, servers and even the manager made us feel welcome and almost like we were eating a delicious gourmet meal in our own home. We may have started a new tradition.
We had enough BBQ over the holidays so we opted for La Francesca...great choice. First time for lunch...we both had soup and half sandwich and pasta. Wife had the meatball sandwich and it was outstanding. I had rigatoni with marinara. We were more than satisfied with our choices and honestly can’t wait to go back. Regular staff is on top of it! Even the manager made time to serve our table. Very personal touch and the setting is perfect for a relaxing evening. If you are looking for a fresh spin on Italian food this is it! From salads, appetizers, pizza, pasta and other main dishes, there's something for everyone! Even for low starch carb diets. Enjoy!
The bruschetta was phenomenal! My lasagna was phenomenal. The ravioli were ok per the spouse. The banana bread pudding was fantastic. So, so, good. The tables are just a little small and it was a lot to arrange on a small table. Staff was nice. They checked in quickly and didn't hover, which I appreciated. Nice place- I would come back. This is our absolute favorite place for date night in downtown Naperville! The service is excellent, the food is delicious (I’m gluten free and my husband is dairy free), and you can truly sit and enjoy each course. We came for my birthday and they surprised me with cake! So sweet. We love La Sorella!
