Arriving there around noon we sat down at one of the tables in front of the restaurant, which were not laid for lunch, since we intended to have only a coffee and dessert. Instead of a welcome we were soon cooly informed by the waitress that they didnˋt serve drinks but only food. Now, even if that should be common in France (which I canˋt tell since I never encountered a similar situation before), I would sincerely have wished for a little effort at politeness. As this is the only restaurant there, we had to leave again without something nearing a polite goodbye from the staff. I have to admit that this behaviour quite spoiled my afternoon. Iˋve never encountered anything like this anywhere...
This auberge is just up the road from where we stayed this summer, and very attractive it is too. We sat outside, it is right on the road but there is very little traffic here so it is not a problem. This is a family run operation, and very well done. Great welcome from the lady owner, waitresses were her 2 daughters and the chef is her husband. The wine list is in a "cave" where they store the wine , you go in and make your selection and they serve it for you. "friture de truite" (deep fried trout ) is a speciality around here, the rivers are full of them! Very good it was too, as was the whole experience. A great place!

An open, welcoming restaurant in a valley with towering chalk cliffs with sources of three rivers within walking distance even for older travellers) The staff were friendly, accomodating those with perfect French. Service was surprisingly good considering the number of patrons. The food was plentiful and delicious: we would reccomend both the area Baumes les Dames) and this auberge
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The ingredients were local and fresh, great food creatively presented. The portions were generous. Service was excellent. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance. The chef proprietor Stephane Turillon has created a great dining experience. Well worth a trip.
Simply stunning blue water source surrounded by very romantic woodland, a place that could be a wonderful spot for a marriage proposal. Worth the stop. Really beautiful.
