Delightful staff, we hadnt booked but they found us a table for six. The menu is quite large, but food was quick, fresh and well presented. Chilli oil, bread basket of lovely little ciabatta rolls, and fresh parmesan brought to our table. The family chose a variety of gnochi, burgers and pizzas. All were good and reasonably priced. My daughter declared the burger excellent (juicy and pink) and the pizzas (thin and crispy) were said to be as good as any they have ever had (paticularly the very generous Parma ham pizza). On my way home from a fortnight in Italy I broke my train journey in Chambery. I happed upon this lovely family run restaurant, busy on a Friday night. I really didn’t want pizza (which looked excellent nonetheless) but instead had a beautifully presented antipasto with a centrepiece of artichoke, followed by gnocchi. These were in a richly cream source with various flavouring components. I accompanied with a pichet of Valpolichella. Around €30 in all.
Worth exploring the side streets to find lovely little restaurants like this. Nothing special from the outside but a warm welcome and our ‘so so’ French not needed as good English offered. Nice range of salads with fresh ingredients which was what we wanted for lunch, apart from traditional Italian dishes. Highly recommend the cold meat platter eased down with a nice rosé. Excellent value.
Spotted this restaurant whilst wandering around Chambéry. Liked the look of the menu so booked a table for later on. We were warmly welcomed on our return. I had pasta and my husband had a Calzone pizza. Both arrived piping hot and we both enjoyed our food. We shared a tiramisu for dessert. Everything was very good.
