A racetrack seems to be an unlikely destination when one is in search of fine French food but La Table located within L 'Hippodrome du Bouscat is an exception worth discovering. The positive reviews were confirmed on a recent visit to the easily reached facility located just outside of Bordeaux proper. We arrived from the water front area via public transit requiring just a single transfer. The dining room there with free and easy access is spacious and with a panoramic view of the quaint racecourse. The menu choices whether a la carte or fixed price are extensive and are sure to please locals and also visitors craving regional specialties. Noted wines from one of the world 's great regions...
L'endroit est toujours formidable avec une magnifique vue sur le champ de courses, et les serveuses sont d'une attention et d'une gentillesse remarquables. Par contre, le plat principal (filet d'églefin avec riz pilaf et sauce basilic) était tiède, moyen au goût, le riz un peu sec. L'entrée comme le dessert étaient très bien, ainsi que l'apéritif. Mais la décoration du plat (une branche de persil) frise le manque de délicatesse, ainsi que le manque d'envie de décorer soigneusement une assiette. Pourtant, les convives n'étaient pas nombreux. C'est ma deuxième expérience dans ce restaurant, peut-être la dernière.
Excellent reception. Menus at 50 euros. Excellent mouths! Very good resistance plate (very soft) but not at all copied. Also for another dish: fries too cooked and black... and meat too cooked! Great desserts. In summary superb setting, a little expensive meal (it would be a meal at 35/40 euros max) Gift of a small pocket of homemade Madeleines. Last point: the waitress. Hyper ordinary, which is not at all in agreement with the frame and price! Make a dress effort please
We booked the panoramic room for a 60-person evening and a dinatory buffet. The setting is great, with views of the hippodrome and a large terrace. The various dishes have been very appreciated and the manager has done everything to enhance the evening with a sono and a projector and service both discreet and very friendly. Space to dance. To consider for a wedding for example, especially since the outside is also very pleasant

Beautiful two-storey room with a splendid view of the hippodrome. Good reception and efficient service. Very correct day menu : 30 € flat entry dessert glass of wine The dishes are well presented and well cooked risotto too cooked and not seasoned but the rest very well.
