Small Husband/Wife (we advise) guide restaurant in the incredibly charming village of Charroux. We stayed here for lunch during a long ride and couldn't be happier. It's a small place that seemed about 1/2 full of locals and a few other tourists... like us. We sat on a common table and ordered both from the chalkboard list of plates Du Jour. The food was rich, decadent, rustic and incredible. I had a humble salad with a kind of meat (unclear what kind, totally tasty) on it that would have served as my full meal as my FIRST course (with 3 more to go). Incredible amount of food. Going on yearly trip to this lovely village, saw la table d'oceane on TA , sent email to reserve and got quick reply following day. On arrival, found out I put wrong day for reservation and as only 18 covers restaurant , was ready to...go somewhere else When owner asked a couple to move and rearranged tables as to accommodate us and specially people who actually booked the right day! Couple who moved sat next to us and we're absolutely lovely making fuss of my 89 yrs old mum. Menu @15.50 euro is absolutely brilliant! Tasty and plenty of ! Two starters, two mains to choose from, cheese tray and dessert! Yes 4 courses for the price. As mentioned, lovely family , country food and great portions...

Nous recommandons ce restaurant les yeux fermésNous sommes venu dans ce restaurant en octobre 2016 et le 28 juin 2017.Nous avons été ravis à chaque fois pour les motifs suivants :- ambiance familiale et chaleureuse- nourriture délicieuse et généreuse (la terrine du chef, la brochette de dinde avec un goût citronné, le plateau de fromage, une délicieuse glace aux pains d'épice et un Kir châtaigne qui vaut le détour). - un rapport qualité prix imbattable (15,50 euros pour un menu entrée/plat/fromage/dessert)- la gentillesse du personnel- la situation géographique : au centre du beau village de CHARROUX

Nous avons déjeuné très récemment en famille dans ce restaurant où l'accueil est très convivial et la cuisine parfaite, comme on l'aime. Le menu à petit prix est complet avec entrée, plat, fromage, dessert. Et en plus il y a le choix pour les entrées et les plats. Difficile de faire mieux. Un grand merci au Chef qui a de l'expérience et du savoir faire, ainsi qu'à son épouse. Nous avons apprécié leur bonne humeur et leur humour. Quand nous reviendrons à Charroux, nous retournerons avec grand plaisir dans leur restaurant. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

We took the 16.9 Euro lunch in a cool, air-conditioned environment, while it was 34 degrees outside. All courses were excellent ham and melon starters very refreshing, the faux fillet excellent with a red wine sauce, potatoes in jackets and perfect garden round beans,...and the strawberry melba a perfect way to finish. We had to skip the cheese to avoid too much food. Very friendly couple that the restaurant and service was excellent.

de passage dans l'allier avec mon épouse,nous avons visiter ce petit village magnifique et nous avons manger ans ce petit restaurant qui ne paye pas de mine de l exterieur !!!! et la surprise nous avons été accueullis par des proprietaires d'une grande gentillesse et nous avons aussi tres tres bien manger !!!! nous vous recommandons la terrine du chef !!!!! a goutez absolument

This time I wanted to treat my friend for a nice lunch to thank her beautiful friendship and her kindness. So here I was back to this amazing restaurant with her and we really enjoyed all the dishes as well as every minute of our time there....Fantastic atmosphere and friendly people! Thank you. High level family restaurant. Like home abroad. Nice ovner and staff, tasty and huge plates and reasonable prices. I was really glad and I could recommend it to everyone, who is interested in french, local cousine...

De passage dans ce joli village, nous avons déjeuné dans ce restaurant. Le cadre est familial et les plats sont bons et très copieux pour un prix de menu à 15€50. À recommander mais attention le restaurant est petit.
