Visiting as a family plus a couple, we enjoyed our meal here. The service was warm and efficient. A great welcome. We were a bit disappointed that the menu on the blackboards was off, but there was plenty left on the menu, and there was...a tapas (local not Spanish) option added which actually suited us very well. The food when it arrived, well presented and very tasty. Absolutely great. So good we all went for desserts... and those were also good... a citrus mousse that was sublime. We chose well for this evening’s meal. We would happily go back.
We had a fabulous meal in this relaxed, atmospheric and friendly restaurant. The menu was well thought out and reasonably priced and the execution of each dish was superb. I started with a salad of fresh leaves with a super light foam made with cheese...from the region, followed by pheasant with root vegetables and a wine jus; then we all tucked in to a desert of chocolate done in various ways and man o man it was really good. We will definitely be coming back for more.
my man and I enjoyed a fabulous meal and a great hospitality here. our server helped to recommend a wein for us to share, and supports in English translation for some of the menu items. my man had calf and I had the baked fish. it was excellent. the best part can have been dessert. they had a homemade chocolate mousse special with caramelized nuts that garnish the top. best mousse we ever had! we recommend to feed them during their visit in Beaufort/surround.

Had an entree (seared fish thinly sliced with dipping sauce) and plat (duck casserole with something like cheesy pasta but awesome). Interesting, perfectly cooked and satisfying, far more interesting that the standard Savoyard options elsewhere. Delicious aperitif of the Maison, white whine with a pear...liqueur and ginger. Service was a little slow, but warmed to us eventually when we kept trying to speak French.
Had a nice 3 course dinner here. The service and food were both good. I’d booked a table on the terrasse in advance, which was a good job because it was busy. We both had the set menu. The mijoté de pork was my favourite...out of the 3 courses tender meat with a creamy sauce. The croustillant de bleu starter was good, if a little bit greasy and the dessert was nice too (but the portion size was tiny! .
This is what small French village restaurant should be! I had the 3 course lunch special. Hubby had a large salad. Lots of fresh bread and local water. The staff were friendly and attentive. They do have an English menu so that was helpful! We...would go back again if time allowed The total was about £70. Included wine, 2 beers, a brandy and hubby's meal was al acarte.
We stopped in Beaufort for lunch on a motorbike trip. The name of this restaurant suggested it would be good, and we were not disappointed, Delicious, well presented and good service. One of the best meals of our holiday.
