We visited La Table du Marais on our first night in Grolejac on recommendation from our hosts. We were blown away by the menu choice! There really is something for everyone, traditional French to foods of the world (and all done very well). We tried snails for the first time and were quite surprised how nice they were! We then had the tex mex burger - lovely homemade fresh burger and the 'canard' (duck) which was delicious. For dessert we had the nut tart which was yummy and the souffle, again, delicious. The service was great, friendly and quick. We were so impressed that we went again on our last night in the area. We had snails again, then I had the salmon and my partner had the wok poule...
The position of this restaurant, on the banks of an attractive little lake on the edges of a typical village half way between Gourdon and Sarlat, make it a pleasant destination. However, the food is average whether it be from the traditional or world menu. At least the restaurant offers a choice ( not at all common in this very traditional area of the Périgord) but the food we sampled from each was not particularly tasty or prettily presented.We paid 70 euros for two meals and wine. For that price you could eat better elsewhere BUT the restaurant does offer lots of tables, inside and out which must be welcome during the summer season when the nearby campsites are full and it seems popular on...
Six of us had a meal here in August, my husband had a steak which was very good, daughter had chicken there again perfectly okay, son had fajitas- pretty good. Now to the bad bit- 3 of us decided while in France we should have...duck. We ordered the u.s. Meal, not very American but still. Starter was a grey looking mashed up dry duck thing that could have been mistaken for cat food. Second course was duty prices of duck in a sauce. Pudding was not bad but by this time I felt a sickly from the previous courses. I think there are too many choices. It reminded me of Gordon Ramsey in the US- he would have had a field day!

Stopped here after a 6km walk for a bite to eat arriving 10 mins before the kitchen closed, but they welcomed and seated us with no fuss, bringing menus etc. We were very relieved! It was a quiet time and the service wasn't rushed...but this suited us just fine. We all enjoyed our food a lot, the menu has a comprehensive selection so you're sure to find something to your taste. The atmosphere and furnishing outside also adds a lovely feel to the place. Prices were a little steep, but I think they were worth it! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!!

I think this restaurant has the nicest outside space of anywhere I've been, the bamboo huts are a wonderful place to eat on the edge of the lac du Groléjac. Food is nice and service is great too, great place to relax with friends and family on a sunny afternoon or evening
We had booked as it was a Saturday night. Waitresses were very polite but to wait one and a half hours for our food was too long by anyone's standards. The food was very good but still..... Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We have been here twice so far and will no doubt be back again before the end of our trip. Lovely food, especially the entrecôte
