Meal for 4. Maybe lost in translation, but 2 of us ordered rib eye steaks as describedon restaurant's English menu. When they turned up they were clearly not rib eye beef as we know in the UK. Large pieces of overcooked meat (possibly horse) arrived accompanied by cubed fried potatoes that were decent. Said price was €14.95 on menu, but charged €20 each. Other food ordered was fine (squid and octopus). English not spoken in restaurant, so didn't bother arguing. Overall disappointing.
I was in rumania on a trip years ago and last night's dinner, transported me to all the places I was, through the dishes and drink. they have sarmale, minci, Romanian sausages, a very good homemade dessert, which was a Romanian claw (black chocolate with cookie), urso beer. and even palinka typical of transilvania to highlight the deal by Marian and Mari. very attentive and sympathetic.
