We found this restaurant on Trip Adviser and were impressed that the owners took care to reply to reviews. We had a delightful experience there and would recommend it for the excellent cooking the lamb leg with potatoes was just brilliant and the smoked salmon salad with apples that was our starter was fresh and zingy) and the helpful approach of the owner who explained the dishes to us and recommended a delicious local red wine from Alejandro Gallo which beautifully complimented the lamb.
If you find yourself in Santa Cruz, Tenerife, try taking the tram to the end of the line (Trinidad about three Euros return) and visit the old capital of La Laguna. While there, lunch at La Tasca de Arana on Calle Viana is well worthwhile. Good selection of small dishes, several large dishes and a daily special, plus nice house wine by the glass. We gave the waiter a generous tip and he came back with shots of honey rum for us. Luckily it is a short, downhill walk back to the tram stop.
We visited La Tasca de Arana as it was near our apartment with good reviews. Also it was open reasonably early in the evening unlike most restaurants in La Laguna. Food was good though the service was too fast and efficient we received our mains immediately after finishing our starters. Good for Americans but not for Europeans who normally expect the experience to last more than 45 minutes.
We went to dinner and it wasn't very full. nice place and well prepared dishes. The eggplant was good. It was fun that they had bits of burgos (which we are from there and we asked for it and we talked about it for a while. nice and nice. good dinner. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
recomendado 100%. Probamos un atún con mojo verde y patatas arrugadas que era lujosa, atún en su punto, muy jugosa. de los postres, mención especial al polvo uruguayo y el mo de maracuyá. un excelente trato. Repitamos, sin duda.
Sitio espectacular con toda la carta sin gluten. La comida muy buena. Croquetas, ensaladilla de batata, huevos estrellados y lagarto con manzana caramelizada y papas al romero. 100% recomendable.
Al principio tenía buena pinta, la atención buena, el menú era poco amplio, la comida bueno… las croquetas estaban muy buenas pero la carne muy salada y precio excesivo. No muy recomendable
