We stopped in Dömitz with our boat and were looking for a restaurant. During our walk we stumbled into the restaurant la Taverne. When asked if there was anything to eat, the boss said if you have time, please sit down. No sooner said than done, it would be a very culinary evening with food of the highest standard and beer and wine from France. If it weren't so far away from us, we would easily be regular guests. Only the terrace view of the parking lot isn't quite as nice, but as it got darker it didn't matter.
Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Chefin empfangen, die uns die aktuelle Speisekarte zeigte und ein paar Worte darüber erzählte, was uns erwartet. Als Hauptgericht hatten wir eine Galette Bergère und einen Galette Burger (mit Steak anstelle von Hackfleisch). Zum Dessert gab es Crêpes mit Eis und Sahne. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet! Alles steht unter dem Motto regional, biologisch und hausgemacht. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen und rundet das Gesamtbild ab. Das Restaurant ist wärmstens zu empfehlen!
Es war ein großartiges Erlebnis für uns, das Menü von einem Franzosen in der kleinen Stadt erklärt zu bekommen und das Essen zu genießen. Alles war perfekt – die Atmosphäre, der Service und natürlich das Essen. Wir können diesen Ort wärmstens empfehlen und würden gerne zurückkommen.
