Ghjunsani is a special part of Balagne with its chestnut forests hidden behind the high coastal ridge. Weather you're just having a glimpse or spending more time hiking thru, Auberge La Tornadia is a great place to spend a long lunch under the ancient...trees. The food selection was wide (presented on a movable black board), starting from the typical local dishes to more international items all at a reasonable rate, certainly cheaper than at the coast. The service was kind but efficient at the same time. The building has some large inside rooms, but on a hot summer day it's the patio the place to be. For families it's good to know they have some toys, swings, springboard outside to help spen...
We went there on a Friday night for dinner. Upon our arrival we were treated very friendly, kind and well taken care of. We had a three course menu for for Corsica a reasonable price. The food was tasty and well prepared ..to us it did not make the impression of a tourist trap more as a country side , authentic restaurant that is eager to source and serve good quality local products. Overall the location is inviting and honest. The food is of good quality, tasty and freshly well prepared. A nice evening we will remember. We would certainly come again and recommend the place.
Our out of date guide book recommended this restaurant, and with positive reviews on TA we decided to try it on a tour of this area of Corsica. We were not disappointed, choosing the menu Corse we were presented with a platter starters, followed by...a platter of main dishes, chees, and then a choice of desserts. All were excellent, and this way of serving allowed us to pick and choose as we wanted. I have to say, however, that we did leave some food uneaten as we were stuffed!
Dans un cadre forestier, La Tonadia mérité une halte certaine. Il doit y avoir des pizzas certes, mais c'est la cuisine traditionnelle qui mérite toute notre attention. Le chef présente chacun de ces plats de manière enchanteresse.Nous étions neuf à table, neufs assiettes servies chaudes en même temps.

Cuisine sans prétention mais tout à fait correcte avec de bons produits locaux. Le menu de l'auberge est une affaire et peu nourrir deux convives ! Ne ratez pas les canelloni au brucciu ou le fondant aux châtaignes. Les serveurs sont souriants et gentils. Et les châtaigners magnifiques.
C'est une visite que nous faisons tous les ans à l'occasion des Rencontres Théâtrales du Giussani ; nous y sommes toujours bien accueillis, le service y est convivial, les plats savoureux et les enfants peuvent profiter d'une vaste aire de jeu. Un lieu à découvrir impérativement !
Un resto dans un petit village qui vaut le détour. Dès proprio sympathiques. Nous avons mangé des beignets de fromages frais, des escalopes de veau corse du village, une tarte tatin et un tiramisu. Tout était délicieux.
I ate at this restaurant because it was close to my hotel. The menu is varied, the typical dishes are good. I liked the aesthetic presentation of the dishes. I recommend it if you pass by Pioggiola
