It was chosen after reading the reviews on Tripadvisor. Booked online as last minute. It’s kind of bistro style place. No English menu so use google to translate names of dishes. Waitress was amazing she was trying her best to speak English and help us up with choices. Great wines! Unfortunately ordering starter from main section (asked to get small portion) was mistake as was given it as main and been charged same price. Food was delicious and fresh bread and nibbles yummy. I have ordered kidneys not knowing what ordering it was suggestion form staff. Shame but we have had conversation and she couldn’t translate ‘kidney’ and shame I haven’t checked this in Google. We had 3 different cuts of steak; a parvee, an onglet and a rump steak. All were delicious. Helped by the excellent Dauphinois potatoes and green beans. Excellent service too from the young French lady who served us. Friendly and professional.

Excellent food all the way for the whole family accompanied with good service on the side of good humour! Nice and charming in more quiet environment with high quality from start to finish. Try pear sorbet with calvados for dessert!

Quirky and eccentric ‘tres French’, staff always lovely, owner is a beast, food exceptional (cote de Beuf is superb) funny old French music super charming, our favourite restaurant in Versailles!

Very good indeed. If you are in Versailles I would highly recommend you visit this meat Restaurant.
