We hadn't intended to dine rather than just eat lunch but suddenly remembered seeing this restaurant on passing previously. Thank goodness we took the decision to stop. Lunch in Brittany restaurants tends to be strictly at 12 noon and arriving at 1pm unexpected can mean disappointment. However we were welcomed when we said we were no in a hurry. Dissipate this proviso we quickly had menus, explanations as required and our orders taken. There was a wide choice of set menus with at least three choices in each course. My grandparents live a short drive away and have been coming here many years. They absolutely rave about it and truly can't accept there's many better around. Despite coming to the region for many years myself I've never had the pleasure of visiting before now. Well what treats I was missing out on! The food was of the highest order and seriously I've not tasted much better. The chef is highly skilled and all the flavours mix perfectly. The price is also extremely fair for what you get as you could expect to pay double or triple that for similar elsewhere. Dimanche 17 mars, nous avons été accueillis dans un très beau cadre agréable avec un étang entouré d'arbustes fleuris et de camélias. Ensuite, nous avons été dirigés dans le petit salon et avons pu alors déguster le sublime menu tradition avec un foie gras savoureux. Le tout est sublimé par le personnel qui est resté à nos petits soins. Donc tous nos sens ont été très agréablement touchés. Une salle cosy, au coin du feu, un accueil et un service agréable mais sans faire des tas de chichis, une cuisine raffinée et de bons produits. Juste un peu déçue par le dessert : bon mais sans surprise, manque d'une pointe d'originalité. (Millefeuille). Mais je reviendrai !!
