What impressed me most about the food was how well prepared and balanced it was. Restaurant food always has more salt, fat, and sugar than youâd ever use at home, but not here. A guayaba agua fresca was perfect, with no added sugar, Iâm not sure Iâve ever had that, even in Mexico. Everything else was bright and fresh and delicious. tapas portions are generous and prices were just right. Servers are gracious and lovely. I would bring my family back here for a special meal as we all love this kind of good.
Great meal. Attentive service even though it was a busy Mother’s Day crowd. Food was outstanding. We had coconut prawns, Dorado ceviche, ensata primacvera, and Skiet steak. Steak was cooked to order and the roasted peppers with it were delicious. Ceviche and coc prawns were excellent as always. The only reason we put 4 stars is that we were charged for a taco trio that we did not order. I am Sure it will be credited when we speak to management.
Hands down the worst seafood I’ve had in a while. Shrimp tacos were awful, they tasted like pork cracklings, same applies for fish tacos. The Dorado was overcooked. The only better than average dish was the seafood coctel. Service in general very slow and disorganized, the waiter showed up to my table after 10 minutes of being seated. The waiter attitude was nice and apologetic about the delay.
I feel like La Viga has gone downhill. The dood quality is not the same but the prices have increased. The shrimp taco was still good but the pork taco was too fatty and the steak taco was undercooked. Just not with the price.

The food is great and the service is as well. A minor point is that the outdoor seating is fine, but the street where it's located has trash and garbage flying around. Eat there for sure, but maybe eat inside.

Never been disappointed. The food is a level above. The staff are very attentive and responsive. My go to place whenever I have out of town guests.
We visit La Viga quite frequently and we are always pleased. The food and cocktails were great and the service was superb. We will be back!!
