The owner of our holiday let recommended this as the best place in the area and whilst we haven't had the opportunity to try that many places, I think we will struggle to find better. The food is mainly traditional Asturian and great quality. The fabada asturiana was fantastic as was a local chicken stew. There is a menu del dia at lunchtime and you may need to book as it is exceptional value, we went in the evening and a la carte pricing was still fantastic value for money. Unwelcoming staff. Waitress smoking at the door, nobody welcoming us despite the reservation, miscoordination of indication of the table followed by another waiter reprimand for having seated us where the other staffmember had indicated, they kept 5 children hungry sitting for 20 minutes until at last someone came. In the meantime, other later arrivals got served. The highlights of the menu (pote, fabes) were sold out at 15h. We decided to leave. The waiter argued that we missed two guests on the table and therefore he ignored us, not bringing drinks, or the menu cards, NOTHING. In summary, no clue about the food quality unfortunately, but the worst service experience in years.
Food is great in this restaurant. It is a bit difficult to find, and is used mainly by locals. However the attendant who served us was not very friendly, she was a bit unhelpful regarding our baby, but overall she was OK.
