L'Absolu is a small and cute restaurant by the bridge between Grenoble and La Tronche, near hospital. I have spent three-month internship at the hospital and soon discovered this beautiful restaurant nearby. As a student I felt I should eat for reasonable price. L'Absolu was offering menus (plat de jour) for about 12.50 € which I thought reasonable. After my first lunch there I stood astounded – I literally almost cried from the deliciousness I was served. It was actually some fish with some sauce with some cauliflower, with salad... I didn't understand what I was eating, something very French, I thought, very veeery yummy. Lunch menu very good, which is simple and effective. 12 euros dish coffee. 5 euros for the dessert of the day. The service is fast. The service is fast. The room is very often full at lunchtime, thanks to the proximity to the Grenoble hospital. Small negative point: it is sometimes difficult to find a parking space.
Super restaurant where we are always welcomed with little care, formula dish of the day accessible and above all delicious! Go there with your eyes closed (but remember to book lunch!
The boss is lovely , and the price is raisonable. You can enjoy a realy good lunch meal outside.
