This is about the third incarnation of the bar in our local village and by far the best! A genuine warm welcome awaits from the lovely couple who own and run it. The bar has only a set lunch menu which is never a problem as the food has always been good. For around a tenner you will get three courses and a decent glass of wine or a small pitcher of cider. The bar is light and airy and you will not be made to feel an outsider. There is also a small "sports" room in the back with a great pinball machine. In good weather there are tables outside. All in all great value and a worthwhile stop over if you are passing through.
We ate at l'address during our recent stay in Hambye. We had three courses, the main was beef bourgeon and fries which was really good and an ample serving. The three courses came with 250ml glasses of wine and all for €12.50. The lady who served us was really pleasant and although our French is not great could not do enough for us - a great experience.
En ce début du mois d'août 2016, que dire que la cuisine est plus que moyenne, par contre l'accueil est très sympathique, mais celui là, on ne le mange pas. A recommander pour prendre l'apéro, étant déçu pas l'escalope de veau à la crème, avec un riz riz mal égoutté. Pas cher, mais, le prix ne peut pas tout compenser.
An inexpensive restaurant in Hambye just off the D13 which serves good food at a reasonable price. In the summer sit outside in the sun and at other times grab a table in the rather small eating area cum bar. The menu is very simple, the owners are charming, the food is perfectly good. Petit resto bien sympa où l'on est accueilli avec le sourire.La nourriture est bonne et faite maison.Le repas du jour est très copieux et à un tarif tout à fait convenable.Une ambiance bien sympathique...On s'est régalés, à conseiller !
Petit bistrot dans le centre d'Hambye.Un seul menu du jour : entrée, plat, dessert et boisson pour 12,50€.Cuisine simple, mais fraîche et copieuse.Accueil très sympathique !
Une adresse pour l'apéro avec sa terrasse sympa, mais pas pour déjeuner, ou, la cuisine est plus que moyenne, et ne laissera pas de vieux souvenirs.

I can't say I was overly impressed, but the service was good, the food was good, the service was kindly and the restaurant was plenty nice.
