Been going to GLAC (Great Lakes Athletic Club) since it's opening back in 2006. Over the years they have always had the best facilities and equipment in town. Their powerlifting room in the back is such an outstanding addition. They are also the only spot in town with a Sauna, Steam bath (all though it does have a tendency to go down, which all stems rooms do), indoor pool and outdoor pool. Prices spiked after COVID but I feel that was expected as less people go to gyms now and that sneaky inflation. Also their staff is always extremely friendly. Chris, one of their sales associates, is a real good guy who works hard and is there to help you out. I'll go here as long as I live here! One knoc...
This place will try to charge you $20 to pick up your children who are guests of a member from the pool. I’ve owned several businesses and would never threaten to charge someone $20 for utilizing nothing but a chair briefly talking to a paying customer. Drove 50 minutes to pick up my 5 year old children (guests) who were with my mother (the member). Was in the pool area to get my children about 9-12 minutes tops waiting for them to do one last slide and dry off from the pool and was told I needed to pay $20 to be there or immediately leave. I was in street clothes with my purse wrapped on my body so clearly I was not utilizing the pool or lounging in the sun. Appalled by this.
After waiting another two weeks, I messaged her again, and she said we could come by for the check. Once again, when we drove out, she was absent, and there was no check. I was incredibly frustrated by the wasted time and the non-payment. She suggested that I send her the total amount owed, and she would issue a check—this was in the first week of January. Since then, I've made several attempts to contact her about the $116 she owes me, which may not seem like a lot to some, but as a small business owner, every dollar counts. Ultimately, I would advise against visiting this establishment; it seems to be surrounded by bad karma and negative energy.

So I have a membership with my wife and our kid. They recently opened up the pool. $80 for a membership. My daughter (6 years old) wanted to her to bring her friend (7 years old). They turned us away saying the friend had to be accompanied by a legal guardian because of COVID. I’m not sure what COVID has to do with denying entry to a 7 year old girl, who’s just trying to enjoy some pool time with her friend. So much for being family friendly.
The management is arrogant, charging a $20 monthly fee to suspend membership during the summer. The steam room is frequently out of order, and pool hours have been cut back. There's no towel service, making it the most expensive gym in town. The restaurant is closed as well. It's a shame this place has potential, but it seems destined for bankruptcy because it ignores its customers' feedback!
Used to be a lot better. For the price I wish things were different. The staff is nice, but some of the equipment is outdated and the gym is just not as nice as it was before Covid. Though it still serves as a great gym. I just think it's too pricey for what's being offered now
The sandwiches here are excellent and bursting with flavor. There’s an abundance of freshly baked bread and a wide variety of desserts to choose from, making this cafe an adorable spot overall. I will definitely come back to try it again! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Nice gym. But it used to be cheaper and nicer with towels and a cafeteria. And the parking lot has pot holes all over
