I dined there today and ordered the ham steak, mushrooms, and loaded potatoes. Unfortunately, the ham steak was thinner than lunch meat and overcooked. The potato skins were inedible. Overall, it was a disappointing experience—I spent $31 on what amounted to a piece of burnt toast and a chunk of ham. The service was also lacking. When I arrived, the place was empty, and I ordered my food to go. When I came back to pick it up, the woman in front of me had to wait five minutes at the bar and eventually left in frustration. As she was leaving, another customer asked if there was anything they could get for her, and she simply replied, “Nope, I’m out of here.” Truly poor service all around.
We were at the Lakeside Ballroom for my wife’s 50th Anniversary of her graduation from the Guttenberg High School. The Lakeside Ballroom accommodations were good as was the service and food. I would recommend the Lakeside Ballroom if you are to have gatherings such as family reunions, anniversaries, etc. coming up. We had A GOOD TIME . It was nice to be near the Mighty Mississippi River, but where was the lake in Lakeside?
Love this place! The staff and food and service is top shelf in the area. The building and ballroom are just a wonderful tribute to craftsmanship and the care taken of time tested community hub!

Had the Steak medallions and shrimp special today, June 1 2019. Was great. Done just right. Rarely order steak, but was glad we did tonight.

Very nice venue for large gatherings. We attended a wedding reception there. It was a perfect location.
