Narrow streets, tall buildings, and light fading into a warm embracing autumn darkness, this charming small restaurant offered outdoor seating we craved on a perfect night. The menu had intrigued us, upon arrival we were greeted by a thoroughly charming young man, whose warm sense of humor coupled with unhurried, quality service enhanced the lovely meal. The dishes themselves were a combination of classic and interesting, a selection of three starters, three main courses, and three desserts. The menu was limited, but the offerings were well prepared, and fixed price (35€ for three courses, €30 for two courses) plus the cost of wine. Beautiful, fresh and delicious food. We had the three course menu. Scallops with beets and coffee cloud was amazing. So were the butternut squash soup and the foie gras. The seabass was just right. We were too full by the time the dessert came but they were heavenly. It’s a comfortable and cozy place on a small street near the courts. It’s easy to miss it. When we went, we were the only people dining so it was very quiet. We will definitely go back.
We had an excellent sea bass surrounded by deliciously prepared vegetables. The accompanying mashed potatoes were awesome too. They even give us a sample apetizer of onion pizza, a local specialty. It was really spectacular. The waiter was super friendly. A really awesome spot for dinner in Aix,
We ate here on our stay in Aix. We were a party of 8. This charmer is literally in a downstairs cove. Very quaint and the food was outstanding! Fish, lamb etc were all wonderful and the wine selection and staff A plus! Go if you can.
