L'Americano is a chic and exquisite Italian cafe situated at the back of a furniture store in Alexandra. The stylish cafe features models of Italian speedboats, a huge chandelier and dark parquet flooring.
I tried their coffee and signature toast and salmon salad. There was nothing to complain - the salad was refreshing with bursts of flavours from the onions and salmon. However, they are quite ordinary and you can probably prepare at home. For a price of $22 in an industrial estate, I would expect just a bit more.

L'Americano has it all ... almost. Ambience is stunning. The food is to die for. Just had the eggs with smoked chicken salad. One of the best salads I've ever eating. The coffee is at the near perfect end of the scale. The only thing that I've marked them down for is the service. Not that it's bad. Just a little more attention would be great. But other than that ... brilliant.
In the most unassuming place and road we come across this cafe, very trendy for setting for a place located amongst commercial factories.
The food was good and solid with flavours being just about right. Service was prompt and attentive but I thought lacked the personal touch

Stopped for a quick breakfast on the way to the airport, the place is very plush and probably caters more for the fine diner rather than a casual experience. The food, coffee and service was good but for the prices you are paying you would expect that.
