Usually happy to go to the Old Customs... this last time we were very disappointed. We went there around 18:15 to eat a torch after a walk to the Christmas market in the middle of a week. The terrace almost empty (filling less than 10% from which our choice). At our disappointment the waitress placed and put people together in one place, all crowded.... We asked for another place... she allowed us to choose and we set ourselves a little apart... but 10 minutes later, she gave the table located 20 cm from ours, right next to another couple... In view of the current circumstances, the waitress of this restaurant really has no good sense!!! Training/information is necessary!!!
Very disappointed after all the good advice we had heard on this restaurant. 50 minutes waiting to receive the dishes and wait 30 minutes for an ice cream that has never been served. A service that leaves to be desired. We decided to leave by canceling the ice order.
We were there last night and the excellent service and we ate very well. Just a small suggestion of light garlands would be welcome under the umbrellas in the evening c is a little limit.

Reasonable price for homemade dishes with very generous portions. Special mention for veal kidneys, the jarret at the munster, the black forest and the cowrin houses.
A must-see place in La Hayenau. Beautiful brazerie with attentive and helpful staff. Recommended address. Price €€€€€€€€€€€€€€
