"Not sure why there are so many complaints about the service, it was fine. The pizzas are very large and quite tasty, perhaps a bit too overloaded but this is a matter of personal taste. We found the drinks expensive at 12 euros for 25cl of house wine and a bottle of IPA beer."

Had the confit de canard and it was very tasty and came very fast. Also juicy. 11€ for 3 courses isn’t a bad deal. Dessert was average. However, this was unfortunately spoiled by the unpleasant service. The waiter was blunt and made us feel unwelcome in the restaurant. He also tossed the food onto the table as if it were dirty laundry. A tad too much passive aggressiveness too if you ask me. We strongly believe the reason for this unsatisfactory service is a result of their intolerance to foreigners. If you’re looking for a better bite but nicer service, head opposite to “La gourmandise.” Thank u, next.

We got into Cauterets a little after lunch hour so we were famished and unsure where to go, but we decided on this restaurant after being enticed in by the smell of freshly baked pizzas. Our server was friendly and welcoming even though it was after lunch hour, and our pizza came quickly. It was also pretty good thin crusted and tasty. This could have been the hunger talking, but I would definitely recommend this place for a cheap, quick meal, especially if you like pizzas.

Bistro type restaurant, had a decent meal for 11 € that's porc ribs for main course served with salad and fries. Slice of local cheese and cream brûlée for dessert. Ok it's only a bistro but I think it's good value when you see that in that kind of resort us people usually get ripped off big time. Can't go wrong with that place after a morning skiing. Pint of beer was 7€ Over all not bad.

We arrived late for lunch and this was the only place serving lunch after usual lunch hours so we were grateful we could get served but had limited expectations. We were however pleasantly surprised by the decent brasserie lunches (e.g. breast of duck, chips and salad) that we were served and the joviality of the waiter, so don't be put off by the slightly scruffy appearance!
