Situated in the local square this half tea/coffee -restaurant didn't`t appear to portray what actually was behind the doors. My family and I, including 2 children visited and was greeted by a charming lady, who could not help us any more. We ordered our food, and was informed that she had ` doggy bags` if we didn't eat all our food. At first I thought this to be strange, but when the meals came out, this was self explanatory. The potions were huge, we had lasagne and Thai chicken curry. True as it was, the lasagne could not be finished and due to its flavour it was a waste to leave it, hence the use of the `doggy bag`. Went here with my family yesterday. Nice place with v pleasant staff. Amazing wine selection. Food. Not cooked to order but a list of four main dishes plus a selection of starters. Food "I believe" is cooked elsewhere and marinated in slow cookers throughout the day. That said. Couldn't fault it. Had pigs cheeks in gravy with mashed potatoes. Was sublime. Coupled with the fact that the owner waited until we had selected our food before recommending a wine to compliment our choice was a nice touch. Slightly on the toppy side but I think worth a visit! a delicious restaurant, with a perfectly pleasant team! we arrived at the end of the service and with a request for vegetarian dish the team was very friendly, offered us various things despite the success of the service and thus the difficulty of redoing the dishes. We were very well accompanied throughout the meal and especially by the waiters but also the leader, all 3 were smiling, fun, listening. The dishes were all very good, the wines too. we highly recommend you! again thanks and very soon
Whether the place has changed hands or they have taken a different approach I do not know. We visited and found that the menu that was available upon our last visit was totally changed to a minimum choice and not catering for children. We stayed and had coffee and a cake which was good. what happiness to come back to this restaurant, we are conquered by this place, reason or reasons rather first a welcome always as pleasant, a owner always listening and so friendly, it makes us so well share its products as well as its small producers and yes there are still people who have the love of real cuisine, in this way coconut cook is really extra, she loves what she does and we do
Before or after the castle do not miss this eatery on the main square. It's half a chocolate/coffee shop and half a restaurant with real home made dishes presented outside on the "Ardoise". We had a delicious maroilles tarte (smelly cheese tart) and a delicious pork with fresh pasta. Last but not least you can sample numerous regional wines by the glass. Bon appétit!!!!
Five minutes from our house exchange in Brissac-Quince was this wonderful find. Run by a lovely couple you will find local products, a wide selection of wines, whiskey, and even beer!!!! But wait, there's more!!! They serve wonderful food as well. Visit the Chateaux then stop for a wonderful lunch or dinner.

Staff very helpful and both spoke very good English. They gave good advice about the different Teas available. Good selection of local produce available.
