We were on our first exploring trip in les Issambres, were looking for a free parking place by the beach (which we found just beyond l'Arpillon), and then decided we wanted some lunch. l'Arpillon appealed to us immediately due to its imformal beach bar appearance and reasonably priced dishes and drinks on its menu. After a cocktail and a good Belgian beer, we thoroughly enjoyed our fish and chips, served with dressed mixed salad, and a simple carafe of wine. After a stunning drive along the coast we fancied a relaxed and easy supper. Having stopped by the next door Petit Casino for room supplies (and learning the French for ‘corkscrew’ we bowled into this joint. It’s busy but chill, the food’s nothing fancy but it was on point. Grilled prawns, superb whitebait et frites! Sparkles even made us her fabled table sauce (secret recipe . The staff was relaxed, happy and efficient. The view across the bay toward St Tropez as the sun set over the mountains was the perfect end to a sublime day.
We have been coming to this place for years now. Today we returned after a couple of years of absence.. Well they have become what I would describe as: 'the tourists are coming anyway, so why bother. ' The mail servant (owner? did not even make the slightest effort to be friendly. His attitude made me not even wanting to stay but for old times sake I stayed anyway for a couple of rosé 's. This was my last time I spend my money in that place. Sad.
L'Arpillon a certes fait évoluer et enrichi sa carte qui datait un peu mais les prix ont fait un bond olympique ! Saucisse frites 2023 à 10€ contre 15€ cette année avec une saucisse espagnole à la place de deux Knacki. Attention à ne pas se rapprocher de trop des prix pratiqués dans les restaurants du secteur car ils manquent de clients cette année. On veut retrouver l'esprit d'avant svp.

rather a bar than a restaurant. because the kitchen leaves to be desired. a small world too tight at times. Sunday for example! or are the security distances? The server masks? a good atmosphere. A little stronger than elsewhere. As my neighbor says, it's the coast of azure!
After being at this place and ordering beer all night, we got rejected to enter the dance floor in the basement. It was only because we were a group of guys, we weren’t allowed to enter.. We have never experienced such degree of racism

Great bar to come to with friends! loved it and the servers are so nice! totally recommend to come to this amazing bar/restaurant and there is even a little bar on the beach for friend and family! it’s brilliant

Small bar cafe on beach at Les Issambres . Used by locals . Good snack food served with a smile by the hard working staff .Have paid a lot more for a lot less .
