Cleanliness is a top priority for me when dining out. I've always appreciated the exceptional cooking skills of women, and I find they often uphold higher hygiene standards in the kitchen. In my experience, men's cooking frequently doesn't meet the same health and cleanliness criteria. During my visit, I noticed some dirty, moldy towels in the back, and I caught the staff chatting in the kitchen, which led me to choose another place to eat. I really prefer home-cooked meals that evoke memories of my mom's cooking—it's simply not worth sacrificing cleanliness.
The manager is unprofessional and struggles with people skills. Instead of addressing a waitress's difficulty with taking orders, they simply moved her, which did not resolve the issue. They seemed to find it amusing, walking away with the ineffective waitress while we were left without being able to place our order. I can see why there are so many negative reviews; it’s clear there is a lack of interest in providing good customer service.
The food was too salty, and I didn’t enjoy the camarónes cucarachas or the fish. While I’m usually willing to pay for a good meal, the service here was disappointing. As someone in the service industry, I found the level of service lacking. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning. I much prefer dining at Rivera Nayarit, where the food is far superior. Rating: 1/5.
Las Islitas Mexican Grill's menu includes a selection of vegetarian options, and I highly recommend asking about them! They made me a veggie burrito that turned out to be one of the best I've ever tasted. The service was excellent, the food delicious, and the portions generous. Even with the restaurant being busy, the service stayed exceptional throughout.

The food at Las Islitas Mexican Grill is excellent. However, no one ever answers the phone when I try to call. I like to place my order ahead of time since the food takes a while to prepare, but because I can’t get through, I’m unable to order in advance as often as I’d like.
I thought the food was fair, but I was disappointed with the prices, especially since they don't remove the veins or shells from their shrimp. The last time I ordered carne asada with shrimp, the shrimp were tasteless and overcooked.
The drinks were amazing, and our server was excellent. While the restaurant has a somewhat outdated vibe and could benefit from some updates, it still has a cozy atmosphere. I would certainly come back! Food: 5/5
The food at Las Islitas Mexican Grill is excellent, but the lunch service leaves much to be desired. The staff, mostly young women, often stand around without assisting customers.

Incredible seafood and excellent carne asada dishes. You can’t get any more authentic than this! The shrimp dishes are wonderful as well. Food rating: 5/5.
