I visited a small restaurant in Arvada based on the recommendation of many people, and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. The staff were attentive but not pushy, and our dishes arrived promptly. Although we only had time for one bowl of chips and salsa, we were informed that additional servings would cost extra. My fiance enjoyed the chimichanga, while I savored the chicken enchiladas with green chile. The dishes were delicious and not too spicy, in fact, the salsa served with the chips was spicier than our main meals. Overall, a great dining experience at this hidden gem in Arvada.
As usual, we order via Uber Eats and have one item missing. Happens every time. I’m realizing that it’s on purpose. Don’t mess things up entirely, just mess it up enough to (1) make sure it’s not worth our time to complain, and (2) get that little extra margin by not including my taco. Also, for what’s it’s worth, the quality has gone downhill. The green chili was bland, it was all bland. Plus the salsa-sized extra green chili was $9.50?! Pretty sure they gave us the wrong size but still charged us for the bigger container. Extremely disappointed. As a customer for years, not sure if I’ll ever be back.
Revised review: Las Potrancas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Arvada. I frequent this place often because the food is fantastic. I have yet to try something on the menu that is not delicious. The Chili rellenos and fajitas are my favorites, with generous portions. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes me feel welcome. Their breakfast burritos are perfect for a quick morning bite. I highly recommend ordering 12 rellenos and sides for a family meal to go. Overall, I would recommend Las Potrancas to anyone looking for a reliable and delicious dining experience.
The food was amazing! I am vegan, and ordered the vegetarian fajitas. They were the best fajitas I have had from a Mexican restaurant yet. They had onions, peppers, zucchini and mushrooms. So flavorful and the portion was large. They came with rice and beans, guacamole and pico de gallo. I did not get the sour cream or cheese but that does come with. They also had some other no meat options I will have to try another time. I've been going here for many many years. The food was good back then, and the food is still so good. The place is so colorful and beautiful inside with all the authentic Mexican cultured furniture, and decorations. The service is like being waited on by one of your own family members, Friendly and caring. The food is really good! I tell myself I won't eat it all in one sitting., but it's so darn delicious, that I can't stop till it's all gone! You know they're doing something right, in order to be in business this long. Go there and Enjoy!
I ordered delivery. I specifically noted a request for additional salsa with my taco salad (which already some with salsa) and paid for this in the app. My order was filled in correctly. This follows an order from last week in which the similar instance occurred, I thought this was an accident but if I’m paying close to $2 for a side of salsa it should make it out the door. And honestly if you are a Mexican restaurant, just hook your customers up. Won’t be giving you guys another chance after wronged twice.
Don’t sleep on this place! We stopped here to eat after driving by a couple of times. I ordered the burrito nalgón and a mineral water prepared with Clamato. The burrito was smothered in like a chili cheese sauce it had a delicious tender carne asada the meal did not disappoint. I will definitely come back I also noticed they have a drive through we came pretty early and the restaurant was empty but the waiter and staff were so nice and attentive.
I ordered for pickup, first time here. I’ve had trouble finding decent Mexican food in the area but this place is actually good! For once, my wife and I didn’t throw our food away.
