We went here in the winter and had an excellent meal, so we decided we would take my husband 's parents here for their 60th. The food was mediocre. I had the special, pork chop with a huckleberry sauce which seemed to be mixed with tomatoes maybe??? It really wasn 't very good. The meat was moist thankfully. The cauliflower risotto was a mush, again without much flavor. My husband had the goody bowl, which had very little sauce and was kind of tasteless also. His mom 's chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were over cooked= dry meat and burnt fries. His dad had the walleye sandwich, he reported it as being good. Maybe a bad night? I heard about this restaurant from the owner of Mountain Moss Inn, so we decided to stop by on a whim, without a reservation. We arrived at 5:45 PM, and it wasn't too crowded yet. The host was very accommodating, and we were seated inside. Our server, Katie, suggested the trout and the Indian Platter, both of which were fantastic! We started with the spinach salad, which was fresh and tasty. For dessert, we enjoyed beignets with huckleberry sauce and chocolate bread pudding, both of which we really loved! The interior has a great rustic vibe, and the service was excellent!

Was fortunate to get a last minute reservation at 8 pm on July 28th for dinner. We started with the Tot appetizer (the half order is big and could be a meal all on its own , I ordered the Yak burrito (loved it! and my wife ordered the Spinach salad with chicken (very large and she loved it too . Staff were great and made note of my nut allergy so no cross contamination. They so have a nice draft craft beer selection. Would recommend grabbing a reservation for a great culinary experience!
I traveled from Atlanta to Whitefish and was recommended this place by my aunt who has a home here. I can confidently say this is the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is calm, and I only had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys their menu offerings!
Best meal I have had in a while. The trout was outstanding, as was the crème brûlée. Our server was on point and everyone else working there was friendly and kind to us. You will need a reservation because the place is small, but they don?t crowd inthe tables. It is a really delightful dining experience.

Charming and cozy spot with fantastic healthy dishes. I still find myself reminiscing about the Bison Spaghetti Squash Ragu we had there a year ago.
The food was actually good but the hostess was completely unhinged, rude and unprofessional. She made it a very unpleasant dinner.
