Really disappointed. This food truck came to Clara Maass medical center for lunch time. Three of my classmates and I were working on one of the floors as student nurses. We came out of the building at 11:45 and went to the food truck. The one mansaid, “the food is free! But it’ll be ready in 15 mins.” We said, “okay, we will be back then.” During that time, wedecided to go to the hospital cafeteria for a snack. We returned to the food truck at 12:15 pm. At this point, there are about12 people waiting on line. We fall in line after them. The man from the truck yells at us saying, “oh you came back?? I needto see your hospital IDs.” We thought he was joking with us… we responded back by saying...
Food was horrible and super expensive! $90 on food we barely ate. Breaded steak had no seasoning at all, it tasted like meat and was like they refried it. The lady working there said they didn’t marinate the steak they have new cooks and they weren’tfollowing the recipe. Would never go again, real Puerto Rican/Cubans would be so disappointed. The only thing we liked was theyuca fries and sorullos ????. Don't waste your money. 1 star was for customer service, she was really nice.
I had the pork chunks, plátanos, arroz con gandules and fried yuca. The only thing that was edible was the plátanos. The rice had no salt, no seasoning, no sofrito, the meat tasted refried dry with no seasoning . This restaurant definitely needs a newcook. Preferably one that taste the food. I am Puerto Rican and we cook with flavor. I am so disappointed this restaurant isrepresenting our culture in my area. Please do better and take pride in the food you cook.
I was so excited to order food from here and unfortunately, was let down. I ordered the palomilla and the meat was gross and rubbery, rice and tostones were edible but not great. I ordered through Uber eats and left a request for limes…never got them. Don’t think i’m brave enough to give this place another shot.

Delicious!My husband magically found this gem on his way to a park and picked it up on a whim. The Cuban sandwich is to die for! Reminds me of the places back in North Jersey. My husband had the Picadillo and he loved it. The Rellenos de papa are a must try! Hope to have all the other things on their menu soon!
This is the second year that we have enjoyed dinner from a Latin Bites food truck at the Middlesex County Fair. We ordered chicken empanadas and tostones. The empanadas were filled with juicy chicken and the tostones were hot and plentiful. The person cooking and serving our food was friendly and funny.
Food is bang-on below average, and the older man in there is absolutely rude beyond belief. Would warrant a 3-star review, but due to the poor service, it barely earns a star. Avoid!
I ordered the fried pork slices, rice with pigeon peas, and sweet fried plantains from their food truck. Unfortunately, everything except the plantains ended up in the trash.

The WEPA! meal was delicious; the only improvement I can suggest is adding beans to it.
