We called in for lunch after visiting nearby Gouffre de Padirac finding a very pleasant spot to sit outside away from the hustle and bustle of the Gouffre. The menu has a good variety of mainly regional choices over a range of prices, but a little more imaginative than many restaurants. We easily found something for everyone, and found our food very well prepared and delicious. The range of drinks available is good too, particularly the house wines. Service was polite and friendly, and we thought our meal excellent value for the high-quality experience.
Very good little restaurant, between self service, snack and restaurant. We order at the bar and we get the plate. The price remains correct given the quantity (a little less than 15€ the fried burger) possibility to eat a plate with more local products or a good fresh salad in warm weather. Don't be in a hurry if you want to eat there. If there is a world you will have time to enjoy the place in the shade, pleasant. Just a step from Padirac's swell. Satisfied with full belly.
I want to give a strong recommendation to L'Auberge de Mathieu. We were a group of 24 and they served us a four-course lunch with grace and efficiency. Because we were relaxing, we would have been fine if it had taken a while, but everything went very smoothly. And the food was amazing. I will always remember this as an important meal in my memories of France.
Good value for money. To read some comments I thought that we had luck.... indeed, for us the meal was very well (between Salers 300gr and brooch magret duck) with fries or potatoes jumped and ratatouille. And this ratatouille was very good, without excessive and tasteful sauce. Not to mention the very nice reception and service. We'll go back without fear.
Quite perplexing the concept is seductive but has my sense not ended when we put forward products from the terroir I expected that all follow (frites industrial bread .. damaging)Everything must be sought at the reception so with the tail must choose to eat warm and together or drink a drinkI salute the concept but which por me must be ameliore
Very pleasant lunch outside under the awning of the terrace. Slight breeze, delicious food, good wine. Just beyond the more touristy area of the Gouffre de Padirac. We had the rillettes de oie avec salade as an entree and then a brochette of the magret de canard with ratatouille and pommes de terre.
Mouais, bof...Sorry not to present quality local products in this beautiful region and to enjoy the tourist attraction...Prefer a gargotte a little far away from the site, you will not lose it to the change

nothing to say, we enjoyed the cassoulet and other duck magrets, not to mention the chocolate mousse to fall
