The most rude and inhospitable host I have ever had the misfortune to meet We arrived at 1430 and there was a sign on the door saying closed until 1730 . I called the owner and she said she wouldn’t be back before then despite the fact check in is at 1600 On our return she asked if we were having dinner , when I asked to see the menu she tutted flounced off whilst muttering in French to another guest that “I was not French” she slammed the menu down and so I told her we wouldn’t be having dinner She preceded to tell me that not taking dinner or breakfast was bad manners when it’s high season and we were only staying one night (we had cancelled our 2nd night prior to arrival due to the length...

Heated terrace underneath tone and kiwis tree, on the road probably very busy in summer, but very quiet in this third week of September. Home cooking for a majority of dishes, we trusted the chef's specialties. It is greedy, well presented, pretty colors in the plate with flowers (which eats! . The chestnut marrow was succulent! Family restaurant where you can (have to) take your time. We arrived a bit delayed from the main service hours and had to wait one hour to get our dishes despite we had a table. But we had time since on holidays and finally were happy because the food was good, home made with some local fresh products. I guess if you arrive ontime, you won't have to wait that long! I don't think I would eat outside during July/August as we did since the road is crowded and the restaurant too close from the road. But don't worry, you can eat inside with air conditionning.
Les gorges d'ardeche are spectacular and a must to see and experiance. i am now living in the area and enjoy sharing its beauty and delights. It was while showing the area that we passed this restaurant. For some reason we turned back and what a delight. The food is all bio, of the season, fresh and elegantly and simply presented, and at a great price. Wine excellent. Do go and enjoy.
