This restaurant remains my second most favourite EVER! We first visited 6 years ago and have been wanting to come back all this time. We finally managed to arrange a trip to the region and get back to try here. Reading some of the previous reviews we were concerned that it may not be the same level of standard. We sat on the terrace beside the church. The location was lovely. This is the best French lunch we have had for many years, at a fabulous price. For 16 euros, we had pate maison, smoked salmon with salad etc, veal in a gorgeous sauce and chips, generous cheese board, sorbets and coffee.. you cannot fault the food! Wine at 16 euros too. Lovely staff....its along some winding roads but well worth the drive..
We have visited this Auberge several times. The food is good and excellent value for money. An additional advantage was that it was within walking distance of our accommodation. However, 'madam' was again unfriendly and discouraging - she clearly disapproved of our mountain biking son sitting outside at lunch time, so we drove to Piegut for our celebration meal.What a shame!
We had a 5 course lunch at Auberge Du Presbytere for less than 20 Euros, lovely home made pate, fluffy omelette and local veal. The locals come here and little English is spoken, so start practising your French now! We enjoyed our lunch so much we came back for dinner on another occasion, we weren't disappointed. Once again the food was gorgeous and soooo much of it, a 5 course meal for 20 euros! Everything about this restaurant is great, the beautifully cooked food, the extensive wine list and the service. It has a is lovely warn and casual atmosphere so we really did linger over our Sunday lunch.... we will be back!
Not expensive, Great service, exquisite food and the best wines. Of and a view!! This restaurant is well hidden for many, but if you can find it, you will need to eat here. They have a simple menu and yes, they only speak French, but just relax, you will go home with a great feeling.
Lovely setting, very friendly and helpful service, excellent menu of local produce, great value. We would visit again for sure, if in the area. I highly recommend a dinner or lunch visit.
