This was my fourth visit to the restaurant, and I was met at the door and told that I wasn't welcome. When I asked if it was due to my kilt, the response was no, but rather because they claimed I had previously skipped out on my tab. I can assure you that I have never done such a thing anywhere. I even offered to show my ID so they could compare it with their records. I requested to speak with someone about the situation since I had friends arriving to meet me, but that request was denied. The young woman at the door claimed she didn't know me, but trusted her friends’ word that I had skipped tabs. Who are those friends? Who pointed me out? I truly hope this was just a terrible misunderstand...
I visited this restaurant on a Saturday night just for drinks. It was quite crowded, and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. However, the staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure we had drinks while we waited. I really liked the modern and trendy vibe of the place. The drinks were good, but personally, I didn't find them to be extraordinary. We tried the Gunslinger, Crimson Seeds, and the Snatcher of the Moon, with the Gunslinger being my favorite. Just a heads up: if you don't enjoy loud Heavy Metal music, especially Viking or Nordic, this might not be the spot for you.
I recently visited LBM while in the area, and I'm so glad I did. It's a fantastic cocktail bar that plays death metal, which creates a unique atmosphere. The staff was really friendly and crafted an outstanding cocktail. The menu featured original cocktails that I've never encountered before. This restaurant has been one of the top spots in the city since it opened. The food is fantastic, with a rotating menu that features various styles. They also serve some of the best cocktails around, and the staff is really friendly and cool. I highly recommend trying The Gunslinger and whatever poutine they offer at the moment.
You could already expect the cocktails to be excellent with Eric Ho mixing drinks, but the food was a delightful surprise! It’s gourmet quality. I tried the Brussels sprouts and pork belly—both were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a fantastic addition to Lakewood.
