The Service was excellent, and attentive, we didn't have to want for anything. It was so good we went back on the second night of our stay as well!"

After having such a wonderful meal the night before in L'Entrecote de Mulhouse, we wanted to try somewhere different our second night. Again based on reviews we went to Le 17. Although my husband got directions over the phone when he made the reservation, we still found it rather difficult to find even though it was close by. Our first impressions on entering were not great as it seemed like a bar with very high tables and chairs. Not what we would consider for a relaxing evening meal. Discovered this bistro style restaurant whilst on a week end away in Mulhouse and were very happy we did ! Modern and comfortable interior with good lighting and welcoming staff...good background music too,louder than usual but still not intrusive so a good balance...menu is presented on a blackboard either by looking at the enlarged wall version or the smaller ones brought to your table...a good selection for a 3 course dinner with additional specials on offer and carafes of wine as well as the more expensive choice of bottles...again, a good balance.. Starter of scallops on creamy leak base followed by prawns on a pasta and sun dried tomato base with parmesan shavings...delicious ! Dinner...
We went to le 17 on a Saturday afternoon and we were lucky that we got seated outside. The pleasant waitress took care of us and brought us everything we needed. During lunch they only have a handwritten selection of menus and desserts, so we decided to try some of their delicacies. I ordered a Tajine de Poulet and i was very excited about my meal. I have to admit that i didn't like it, but it was served nicely. I paid 21 Euros for a chicken breast with two small slices of potato, some slices carrots and some olives, in my oppinion definitely worth it. Was very fortunate to get I think the last table at this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime in March. I speak very little french, but with the aid of google translate and a really helpful couple at the table next to me had a wonderful lunch of lamb, followed by (on their recommendation) the desert plate... absolutely delicious, I‘d definitely return, and I’d book a table next time.
