We originally booked the restaurant for a meal whilst in Menerbes on holiday. However, one evening when looking for a sun downer we thought we’d head to the bistro to check it out a couple of days before the meal. We were given a space...(great start) and given a space at the very best view point over looking the valley and Mont Ventoux. This (whilst being incredible) is where the incredible ends. This restaurant and bar is clearly understaffed. And whilst the service is incredibly slow I must point out that the staff were fantastic there’s no denying that. Then the drinks turned up. Utter face palm. for a cocktail. Again no problem with a view like this and the drink stacks up to the price....
Le site est exceptionnel et l'accueil agréable, par contre, il y a une grosse marge de progression sur les assiettes! Nous avons eu l'impression d'une cuisine industielle. En effet, le poulet des brochettes teriyaki était de qualité médiocre et la sauce figée et trop abondante. Quant au tartare de saumon, il était joliment présenté et accompagné d'une bonne petite salade, en revanche, ni l'avocat, ni le saumon n'avaient de saveur et la vinaigrette utilisée comme marinade ne nous a pas semblé de première fraîcheur. Pour finir, la salade César ressemblait à ce qu'on sert sur les aires d'autoroute: salade, vinaigrette et croûtons industriels, copeaux de fromage italien ? sans saveur et nombreux...
We ate the most delicious steak here last year and hoped to do the same again but as with all menus it had changed. We weren’t disappointed however as there was plenty of choice. My husband had oysters and lamb and I chose pork, both...dishes were tasty as well as being beautifully cooked and presented. A bottle of local rosé complimented the meal and I ended with a mouthwatering lemon sorbet. A little gem not to be missed. The weather spoiled the view of Le Mont Ventu but it didn’t spoil the meal. The staff are engaging polite and most helpful and will speak English if you need them to. Will return next year. Booking recommended and you will need a Covid pass.
excellent eating in a beautiful environment with views of the lubéron Valley. the personal could have been much more friendly. no aperitif was suggested, right in the menu (until I said we would like an aperitif while we look at the menu). we were going. for a relaxed Sunday dinner on a sunny terrace in a beautiful environment and felt as if the personal want us to order, eat and go to their convenientity instead of our. obviously not the same treatment when they are regular customers who were greeted with open poor and big smiles. we have dined here when you stay near oppede. we chose this place for the reviews on trip advisor as we do so often, and of course we were not disappointed! the intention of the terrace are to go in and out of itself here....but the food was great and the service was great! they even brought cover for us when it became cool after sunset. Go and enjoy!
excellent lunch of lamb and maigret de canard washed by some local red. Unfortunately, the lunch was someone from the loud musique du soir ' I asked the afterbartic if ok to turn off and they agreed. but the maitre d'...insisted play on musique, though the loudness turn off, despite the wish of all of us. plus ca change plus c'est le meme chose
Une vue spectaculaire, un service aux petits soins… la cuisine n’est pas a la hauteur, c’est dommage …. Mais nous avons passé un très bon moment. Merci l’accueil chaleureux.
