There are many restaurants on the ski slopes of Megeve which are very average AND very expensive. This is a real exception. The location is fantastic; at the bottom of a lovely blue run so very accessible for all levels of skiers (including my 9 yr old). On a gorgeous day, sit outside and enjoy the beautiful views and the sun trap. We went here 3 days in a row because the service and food was outstanding. The prices are very good. I can highly recommend the chicken soup €18 (delicious broth loaded with chunks of chicken, noodles and veg). The Lamb Shank is cooked to perfection €19. I love it here. We have been several times over New Year, and Easter. We snowshoe and there are wonderful walks close by. My daughters tell me there is a good ski run down to it. They are always smiling and friendly. I like the variety of food - salads , and hot food including a korean influence with noodles.I like the rose by the glass. If its sunny and warm enough then sit outside in the sun on their large terrace with the views, otherwise inside is inviting with the large log fire.Make sure you book if coming in high season and don't book the terrace for lunch if the outside temperatures are minus 10 and over even if its sunny as there are no heated lamps

beautiful setting, excellent food. Intimate authentic mountain dining spot on the hill, if the weather permits, to sit in the sunshine on the terrace...(inside by the fire if weather not obliging) to gather as a group and enjoy wine, tartiflette, croute, salads and fabulous desserts. Reservations highly suggested. (call as soon as you arrive on the hill). This is one of the best on hill dining experiences. Relax after lunch in the chaise. View fabulous, food well worth the effort. HIghly recommended.

We dined at lunch on a snowy day skiing in Megeve. We had a reservation, but this restaurant is a little off the beaten track at the base of Petite Fontaine chair lift, not as crowded as the other restaurants on the mountain at Megeve. Food was delicious, recommend the veal and the sausage dishes. Very good house red and white wine. The owner and the servers were all very friendly and delivered a great dining experience.
We just love it here. The location is idyllic when the sun is shining. This time I walked here from the top of the Chamois cable car (dodgy knee meant couldn't ski this year). A very nice walk (once you know the way!). I met up with the rest of the family who skied down. Came here twice during our week's holiday. The chicken soup is my favourite - a complete meal in itself. We come back every year.
Rude welcome... We booked a table and the one we were offered was the worse of all the terrace.Obviously, they have their usual clients, and if you are not on the "nice" list, you are done.Food is average, no more, unlike the bill, kind of expensive.This place does not worth the walk to get there.Megeve is now an expensive place, but you can find better restaurants in that price range.
