TripAdvisor highly recommends reserving through the app, so we did: 19:30 confirmation for 20:00 dinner. We travelled there, got to the door, and when I told him we reserved a table for 4, he said that unfortunately they didn’t have a table for us. He asked if I reserved via the Fork app, and when I said yes he said that the Fork app confirms reservations without notifying the restaurant, and that he has actually been turning lots of people away all summer. Thing is, the app only works as well as the restaurants that they work with. It’s simple: as the restaurant fills tables, they update their availabilities. The restaurant creates a really relaxing atmosphere, with a suave atmosphere and extremely friendly employees. The quality and quantity of the dishes are excellent. We'll be back! We had a great evening at the restaurant Le Basilic. The setting is very nice and well decorated. The service is excellent, really nice and smiling people. Concerning the meal, happy to have found a restaurant with a great home cooking! Copious, well-presented plates, which make you very envious and excellent! A very good address; Go without hesitation;
Came here for our valentines meal, the restaurant is small with a warm and cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. We enjoyed their local white wine which was infused with basil. Les Houches is a funny place, no real centre just a long strip of chalets and a diminishing number of hotels, so its great to discover there is still the good amongst the bad in terms of traditional savoie grub. You will need to book, but the wait and the food are worth it.
An authentic and regional cuisine like you like, a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with great service! I recommend the wine house in the basil, a beautiful discovery that is worth a visit! If I have to come back to eat at the houches, I'd choose this good address again!
A welcome to the little onions, a warm team, a warm atmosphere, delicious and hearty dishes. We came several times and with pleasure we will come back. I recommend 300%!!! A must if you pass through the scenes.
