I visit Alsace 3-4 times a year to work. I've made many friends and so was invited to this restaurant by a couple with their daughter. The place is very clean, elegant and the service is very good. Prices are pretty much the same as everywhere in France; a 3 course meal (table d'hote) for about 30-35€ Reading the menu, I thought I was in for a gastronomic treat. Not so. Although the starter was good--tatin of foie gras with accompaniments, the main course disappointed. I chose chicken with pasta and mushroom cream sauce as that seemed the best option from the main courses. This was a disappointment. We ate here on a recommendation it was a Tuesday night but still full shortly after 1930. The design is fancy but not too posh or unwelcoming but just warmly modern and classy. The service is good but a bit stretched when really busy. Food was great with a small menu but all of it really good. More impressive was how good the value was 3 courses for 35euro is good for decent food, but for the dishes here it was really great. You should always book since it seemed incredibly busy but it is well worth the visit.
Had dinner at this restaurant with business colleagues during a business trip to Alsace. Very friendly and warm welcome. Tables are well spaced and not crowded. Food was excellent with no complaints. I ordered a vegetarian risotto. Deliciously prepared and presented and accompanied with good red wine. Service was remarkably good and friendly. Highly recommended.
