Walking into this interesting building located in the town centre the decor is charming and as named it is a true bistro in that there is a bar which you can have a drink while you are waiting for your table. Service was quick and the food came in about 5 minutes! We took the Plat du jour which was Hachis parmentier (Shepherds Pie) This was a great choice as it was one of the tastiest I have ever had and went great with the house Merlot. My wife and daughter had the Salade Nordique (Prawns and salmon) which they both really enjoyed. We went for lunch on a rainy afternoon and were served for a table of five. The waitress looked rushed and no smiles throughout the lunch. The menu was very limited with a very small veggie and fsh choice. Too much meat on the menu. 3 of us decided to go for the dish of the day which was turkey. Only to be told it was sold out (at 1:10pm?! . Therefore had to choose from the menu. Service was slow and drinks were plonked loudly on table and waitress rushed off. When food arrived it was disappointing, overdone chips, bland salads and just nothing that could be a promising meal in a quaint decorative restaurant. I won't be visiting again.
We had lunch here today as a a family group of three after doing some shopping in central Guingamp. We had the formule 14.90 Euro meal, which offered two courses and coffee. There were no complaints from any of our diners with their respective offerings. Great old building which has an authentic minimalism in decor and style and was a pleasure to experience. Recommended.
A smallish bistro with hard working staff and they must be doing it quite well to attract such a good number of local customers.Not a huge menu,which means they are adept at producing the food listed and the frites were particularly good.The steak was cooked precisely as it should have been and all in all it was the best value meal of my visit to France. small stop for a coffee in the morning........back for lunch so pleasant reception, simple meal, copied plate served with smile and a touch of humor. quality products and cooked in front of you, the boss is in front of the large chimney for the pleasure of taste buds.
small resto in the city center that accepts us to what is not so bad (because it seems late for the region home banal .moules microscopic and unsequenced .frites grass .a plate of cheese to share copier but without originality .bref a very medium set .
In local city, we visit the restaurant about once a month. Service is normally good but it does get busy. The steaks and salads are excellent but beware of the Plat d'jour which can be a Breton specialty, which is often not to British taste.

Great ambience, delicious Frenchstyle cuisine. Good value ‘plat du jour’ menu. Lots of locals by looks of things- very good indicator of quality. Very enjoyable and genuine place in a genuine interesting French town
