Le Bistrot de l'Écailler

We were in this restaurant twice within 10 days, and during this time the prices were increased by 5-20%: the first day the sole and the dorade costed 30 Euro each (very expensive), 10 days later each of them costed even 36 Euro. The first day the lobster menu costed 45 Euro, 10 days later exactly the same lobster menu costed 48 Euro. You can't control the prices before reserving in the restaurant, because the restaurant has no homepage. The dishes were good, but nothing special, they are similar to other bistros. Therefore the restaurant is overpriced. You pay especially for the nice view from the terrasse to the sea.

Au lieu-dit de Kerdruc, au fond d'une anse de l'Aven, tout près d'un charmant petit port, on arrive par une petite route déserte au Bistrot de l'ecailler. Bien accueillis par le patron et servis par deux sympathiques serveurs, le dîner en terrasse fut fort agréable. Le homard bleu breton est proposé sous différentes préparations et à un prix plutôt attractif. Le prix des vins au verre, issus de bons crus, est également correct.

Shellfish, shellfish and more shellfish. Very good quality and very friendly service. Lots of atmosphere. Easy to park. If you like shellfish and oysters and Plateau de Fruits de Mer then they Oyster Shucker is the place to go. Apparently they have another restaurant in Paris too. English spoken.

Très belle découverte, produits exceptionnel, un service et une équipe formidable. Un seul point négatif "pas de rince doigts " dommage! Sinon, encore merci pour l'accueil et la qualité. A bientôt en Bretagne

très bel établissement sur les rives de l'Aven, bon service et excellents produits de la mer! Les vins sont sublimes! merci!
