We've passed here often, it doesn't look anything remarkable and it's true the road and parking are a bit tight, but we said this time we'd stop and look if it wasn't too difficult to park, if they'd let us in with our dog and if we liked the look of the menu. It was lunchtime and we hadn't booked but we were given a lovely table at the back looking over the valley. The outside belies the interior, which is very pretty, with lots of china and other knickknacks, very bright and clean. Everything about this restaurant draws you back to it. The food is excellent;tasty and well presented. The staff and owners friendly and attentive at just the right level allowing you to enjoy your meal without fuss. They even put up with my very rusty school girl French with a smile.As another reviewer said the locals who eat here are welcoming and all greeted us with a charm we haven't noticed elsewhere.Then there is the view looking back at Dinan as well as the beautifully thought out interior which makes you want to linger. You would just never know from the outside which is drab and crammed on a very awkward junction. Do make the journey as you will not be disappointed.
A very unique and lovely dining experience! We are staying in old Dinan in late June/early July and found several of the more interesting dining spots we hoped to visit are closed. So more careful culling of TA yielded this gem, and we willingly ventured across the bridge (thanks, in large part, to Lucy's review).Le Bistrot du Viaduct was a wonderful dining experience - amazing view, quaint interior, friendly staff (and happy to speak English when needed), and exceptional food. We returned to the bistrot after 13 years and it was just as good as I remembered. There are good value set menus as well as a la carte. The staff are friendly and helpful with good English and tolerance of poor French!! Worth the climb up and down the hill and a15 minute max walk from the Mercure.
We dined with friends who had booked a table. There was a wide range of fixed price menus as well as a la carte. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and exceptionally tasty. It was a treat to dine there. The ambience and decoration of this restaurant was memorable.
Loved the interiors, style and friendly staff. Wonderful view if you book a view over the bridge/viaduct. Good overall food, four of us, three courses and all very happy. Parking tricky so need to find parking off main road.

Personnel très agréable et efficace, déco sympathique et vue sur la Rance fort agréable.Bref que du bon pour l'œil et les papilles.Excellent repas à 38€ (3plats).
