If I can give -5 stars I would! The owner is snobby and rude. I was seated by the owner, did not receive service for over 15 minutes. I then drank from my own bottled water and the owner kicked me out! "Allez!" he said and pointed at the door. Apparently it's rude to do so in France but I had no idea. He saw me holding my bottled water coming in on this hot day and said nothing. At least he could have asked me politely to put it away. I've travelled all over the world and have never been treated worse in my life. I suspect that he is a racist and found any excuse he can to kick out an Asian person.He even told me that he knows the people on trip advisor and can have my review removed. Such a...
We ate there 3 years ago and since then have been avoiding the place, although our flat is just 2 streets away....high priced medium quality food....but last week we returned after a fantastic meal (see my review on Kagayaki) just for a night cap, 2 Fernet Brancas...if you don't know that stuff, get into it: it's a life-saver after a heavy meal, but, like diving, don't do it alone....its tough stuff :))...but back to the Bouldogue folks: I'm from Paris, but I speak German with my wife, they probaly noticed that and they charged us 19 Euros ....I asked to be sure there is no mistake, they confirmed....so my recommendation is to avoid this place, there are fantastic places nearby like Le Conne...
I discovered the restaurant Le Bouledogue and I was very pleasantly surprised at the excellent reception, both by the boss and by the staff. Traditional cuisine is delicious by its taste, its finesse and the presentation of dishes with a good choice. Hot atmosphere. I recommend it because it's pretty exceptional. This place is the actualization of rude French waiters. We were ignored and peered down upon. Sure, the food was decent, but they clearly care about locals only. We watched Parisians being attended promptly and with a smile while we were treated like dirt no matter how pleasant we were to the staff.

Fell into this local bistro and fell in love. Service was very fast and attentive. Food was very good. The artichokes were the size of our heads! The duck was amazing. We ordered several specials. All were superb. House wine was delicious. Great experience.
There is nothing particularly high brow about this little restaurant but the food is good the atmosphere convivial and a great place to lunch after a visit to le Marais area. Gritty and authentic vibe.
