Four of us went out tonight for moules pommes frites at restaurant Le Bounty on the beach in Port Cros at Six Fours Les Plages. We got moules mariniere, moules Roquefort, and moules curry. The place was packed and obviously a local favorite. Moules and frites were very good and cheap, accompanied by rose wine. Afterwards, we went for a beautiful walk by the beach in the setting sun.
Le Bounty does not have the prettiest appearance. The dim plastic window shields are a good shelter against the gusty winds, though. The mussels are served with a choice of 4 different sauces. They are tasty and straight-forward, as is the service too. Mussels and chips at a reasonable price are very ok!
I'd say! Good franquette. Despite the weakening and warmth the reception and the service went well. The bonus can be reserved for mussels and fries. And the ice is huge. I can tell you that in the area fried mussels here are top. What is not the case with the neighbouring competition. Enjoy!
