We were so grateful to be accommodated for a table without a booking at 7pm on a busy Saturday night late November. What a find this place is.... a great atmosphere an amazing range of cheese dishes, my idea of heaven. We chose the baked camembert with fried potatoes (which were a bit mushy) a tartine with cheese tomato a side of fries. Both were very tasty, next time it will be the fondue for us. What a menu selection, you could eat here so many times without eating the same cheese dish twice. Service was great. We never felt rushed prices were so reasonable. We struggled a bit comfort wise with the high table we were allocated but hey, we didn't book so we can't complain.
je le déconseille vivement. on nous a demandé de manger en 1h. c'était ok. mais on nous a servi des plats froids on a commandé une demi-bouteille de vin nous avons reçu un pichet 25 minutes après avoir reçu le plat et malgré 3 demandes. le vin blanc était chaud et sucré donc pas celui que nous avons commandé, je sais faire la différence entre un Gascogne et une Roussette. on n'a pas arrêté de taper dans ma chaise pour le service j'ai mal au dos. aucun geste aucune excuse. j'avais une autre image de ce restaurant qui a bien bien descendu en qualité. les prix sont exorbitants par rapport à la quantité. le service pas hyper chaleureux....
There are two Le Broc restaurants in Lille, we visited the city centre one. Booking was essential for a busy Friday evening. The menu (accessed via a Q code on tables) is wide and wonderful. We shared a fondue dinner partner is a carnivore and I’m veggie the option was open to us to share the fondue but have our own dipping food. Do leave room for dessert lemon sorbet with vodka and the truly sensational apple sorbet with Calvados. Great service, lovely atmosphere, fabulous food.
Everything here is about the cheese! Every single dish revolves around cheese meaning that you will either love or hate the food. There is very little english speaking the restaurant is full of locals. As long as you are good pointing to the dish you want, the waitress will do her best to talk to you in English but that is dicey at best. Go and enjoy the local cuisine!
