The restaurant location is great with a lot of tourists in it. The English menu with half words in French and difficult to understand. In English menu section of fish was “moules mariniers”. My husband asked waiter what it was and was told “fish”. The food quality is poor. Muscles had dry meat inside and had terrible technical smell covered with white paste, not looking fresh. We returned muscles plate and got charged for the plate. The fish soup had brown color and no fish pieces, also made my stomach upset almost right away(first time in France). We returned with pleasure on this beautiful partially covered terrace. dishes are always as copyy, well presented and of exceptional quality for the menu price, even on Sundays. the concealment of the forgetting numbering of the tables gave rise to a joyous bazaar in a complete disorganization of the service, which, however, remained polite and cordial. the lack of organization of novice servers will need to be studied loan brokerage before the service if you do not want to continue to provoke the agace that has been heard gronder on the 4 neighbouring tables. Salad leaves, breaded chicken catering pack goujons and a boiled egg drizzled with some dressing from the supermarket does not make a Chicken Caesar Salad! No anchovies, no Parmesan, no flavour. The Carbonara my partner had was also tasteless. Service was slow, waiter couldn’t remember what table orders were for and when coming to pay people were arguing about there bills as they were wrong. So disappointing as had eaten in the square at Apostrophe the night before and that was excellent! Should have just gone back there.
the only reason to go here is the location. Which is really good and it is a smart idea to have the place look very much like the painting. In fact the food was reasonable, not as bad as I expected. The linguini with shrimps was OK, with five good big shrimps on it. And also the service was not bad. But, indeed the strange attitude of this place not to accept cards is really deplorable, so time to get a new owner who is a bit smarter. For me the cook can stay.
Beware they don't warn you in advance but afterwards claim their credit card terminal has stopped working but only for tourists). It's a scam. They pretended to call the police but surprise they never arrived! I eventually paid with the little cash I had and left it at that. Unfortunately the food quality was also very poor so I advise beware! The waiter was good though and would give him 4 stars if not for his manager's rudeness!
I was so excited to see this place. Specially visiting the cafe vangogh. I came early but I was surprised because there are lots of tourists already in the place. Around 11 am when I went to the cafe. Lots of people stop by to take photo of the cafe. It was a nice experienced the food was fine. But the staff are very approachable and nice. Arles is a really nice place. You should put it on your bucket list when you visit France.

Nice discovery. Welcome very friendly by a dynamic and smiling team. Exceptional service. A great bravo to the chef: the dishes sent are simply remarkable. We were 6, and all stressed the application of work in the kitchen. Lazarus and his colleagues are just as effective. A huge BRAVO to the whole team.
