this is an unpretentious but comfortable bar that serves to eat. it lies behind the cathedrale. we came, cold and wet, so long after the normal lunch hour that two other places had turned us away, but here we got a friendly reception. the woman behind. the bar explained that it was only certain dishes on the menu (an indicator that eating not only from a deep freeze and heated up? but that they would still serve us what was available. it was clear that they didn't expect people to show up so late, but she didn't make us feel that we caused additional work. my partner wanted steak, but not the sweet potato that accompanied it, so that they swapped it for gratin dauphinois. my friend and I had...
fish and chips frozen and very bad quality also broth crumbs (not broken) burned on the outside, watery on the inside. waitress annoying and quiet rude. when one of my groups was asked what a certain article was on the table (no menus), she was told. she wouldn't like it! champagner was too sweet. the steaktare was ok, although the pommes dauphine with him was cold. we touched arc with the people on the next table, which is not too clever at the moment. probably ok as cash for a drink, but would not eat there again.
We arrived early in Amiens and were very hungry. Most places near the cathedral and around the old town looked like tourist traps so we gave this place a go. One of us was vegan and the chef made a salad especially for her, whilst...I had the daily special, gammon with a pepper sauce. Both were very good bistro food cooked well. It was very cheap and the hosts couldn't have been nicer. There is a lovely seating area outside as well.

Nice relaxed cup of coffee away from the hustle and bustle after a hard days' shopping. Just the job. Nice atmosphere and part of the seating area is set out like a library with books and magazines.
Overpriced and very limited options for lunch. No menu, only offered a choice of 3 or 4 dishes. Outdoor terrace with water features attracted us but didn't make up for poor dining experience.
Find your way to the corner of rue des Lombards rue des Sergents and Le Capuccino will make you welcome provide fine wine great food at a very reasonable price.

Very cool and friendly atmosphere. Come on several occasions with friends in the evening to attend concerts.
