Le Charlot Southampton

We had a truly horrendous experience at this disgusting restaurant on our birthday celebration. The server we encountered was not only ridiculously rude, but also unhelpful. The table was dirty and sticky. When we asked for wipes he bluntly replied with a no. Later, when we inquired about hand sanitizer, he responded with a downright disrespectful no as well. It took asking another server to finally get wipes, only to have the initial server return and belittle us for questioning his previous false claims. His condescending attitude and dismissive comment when we requested another server were utterly disgusting. We promptly left, leaving behind our drinks and fries. It 's truly disheartening...

I have not had a delicious steak Au poivre in years and Le Charlot’s aux poivre was on point. The steak was charred perfectly, the temperature was correct and the sauce was delicious. The maitre’d is extremely unprofessional and inappropriate. Based on the numerous references in other reviews, it is truly unfortunate that a single person can directly negatively impact the restaurant’s performance. It’s a shame. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

While the atmosphere was overall good (like all places on Main Street), the food was expensive but quality was poor. Hence: overpriced, and at 3.9 still overrated. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
